Earth Hour 2009

On Saturday, March 28 at 8:30pm - 9:30pm....cities around the world turned off their lights in an attempt to show unity and a stance on global warming issues. For 1-hour, those lights remained off. The goal was show government officials around the world that there is a pressing need to take action against global warming and come to an agreement that would replace the Kyoto Protocol Act of 2002/03. Major structures around the world such as the pyramids in Egypt, the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, the Colosseum in Rome, the billboard in Times Square-NY, etc. turned their lights off for 1-hour.
